Simple Graphene Coating Process for High Performance Device Fabrication Without Contamination

Description

This technology is an innovative method to laminate a target substrate with a graphene coating with minimal damage and contamination. Graphene transfer process is important for its wide use in industrial applications. Graphene’s properties make it an ideal coating for applications ranging from electronics and renewable energy to the automotive industry and medical fields.  However, the conventional method poses a significant risk of contamination and material damage. This technology overcomes those challenges by using a new graphene water membrane structure and a simple process, resulting in better flatness with no contamination.

Benefits

  • Simple Process: the graphene layer can be peeled from the water and simply flipped onto the surface of the target substrate without the use of additives.
  • Improve Flatness: this method improves graphene flatness which drastically enhances electronic performance after device fabrication.
  • Contamination-Free: this method eliminates the interfacial residues and contaminations from the transferred graphene, enhancing the overall quality of the material.

Applications

  • High-performance device fabrication for
    • LED
    • Touch panels
    • Smart phones
    • Integrated photonic circuit devices
